Health cabinet secretary, James Macharia has directed all public health facilities to have enough equipments used to screen patients who are likely to have signs of tuberculosis. He gave this directive earlier in the day when he was opening a TB laboratory in Kenyatta National Hospital. He however called upon everyone to go for free TB test since the infectious disease is an air borne and therefore it is easily contacted from everywhere. He further advised the public that whoever will be found with TB should strictly adhere to the prescription of medicine for the amount of time given. However he added that TB may become chronic when it is not identified early enough and may cause death.
